At 6'6" he adds some height and rebounding ability to the mix. He also does not have a problem pulling the trigger, but since he shot 45% overall that's good especially since he shot 30% from the 3.

Will be interesting to see what he brings to the table. He’s got great stats but struggled against good teams. Like his all around play. Shooting seems to be a weakness.

Likely he was "the guy" putting up shots at the end of the clock. That skews shooting stats.

I read that he was first team OVC last year and scored 15 ppg. I know it’s not a major conference, but that ain’t a bad resume.

Led his team in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and blocks. 22 out of 26 games in double figures. Season high of 28 points. 5 games over 20 points. 3 double doubles.

That’s awesome thanks for the stats. Incredible use of the last scholarship.

He was also all-conference in the Ohio Valley last season.

I like his video. Anthony Bowie with better ball skills.

If he turns out to be half as good as Anthony Bowie, I’ll be ecstatic.

Regardless, welcome aboard, Mr. Johnson!

Agree, I would take that any day. Imagine if there had been a 3 PT line when Boo was in college. Or TMac. Career scoring numbers would look a little different.

Good comparison on athleticism and build. I like what he brings to the table more than some of the other options at this spot, particularly Jaxon. And the good thing about a one year player is it gives time for Moser and the staff to spend a normal time evaluating and getting the right player coming in out of HS.

Nice close this late in the game and what a job putting a roster together and filling in the right pieces. As balanced a roster as we've had in a while.

In which universe are SEC academic standards higher than the Big 12's?
