Life is not about holding everyone's hand. Individuals have the inalienable right to seek employment elsewhere for they shouldn't be forced to work where they are unhappy or feel subjugated, this is not Russia/China (yet). Entities such as institutions have the same freedoms. When 4 teams from the B12 were exploring a move to the PAC were you against that as well?

Sure, and I am saying some of those institutions should exercise their right on who they play and stand up for the good of the game and for their own programs, instead of being dragged around by the ankles by a few programs.

Society is comprised of haves and have nots thus this is how things play out and it is no different in any circle of life. Until everyone is on an even and level playing field it stays the same. There's a reason why you don't see 300 lb participants in the luge.

i hope they do. the other 8 can go ahead and breach the contract and pay ou and texas to leave. ou and texas as of right now have stated they plan to leave at the end of the contract in 2025. That will obviously change, but right now all ou and texas have said is they are not renewing the contract. you suggesting the other 8 breach the contract is the worst possible advice anyone could give the other 8 schools, so it kinda makes sense it's coming from you.

Point made. Sometimes you have to wonder. Thankfully, most doors have locking mechanisms.

you would be playing the entire league twice every 4 years .. and your pod every year ...

OU and texas would love that ... it would then cost them 0.00 dollars to leave

I understand that, and that's my point: A star QB who starts for two years (and we seem to have several such QBs lined up) could miss out on facing certain teams. I think you should face the entire conference every season, not every four years (though perhaps it'll be set up where you play all the teams outside your pod every two years -- still doesn't do it for me).

The other thing I will add; is while all of the other 8 teams outside of Kansas improved their football facilities the past 10 years when the GOR was signed in 2011, none of those 8 have went out and played marquee non conference matchups…..that is a big reason why OU is on at 11:00 AM so many times early in the season.

Just pull up the remaining 8’s football schedules the past 10 years ….it’s a bunch of patsy’s outside of a couple of good games.

The conference probably died when it voted down the Big 12 network. That eventually led to Nebraska and Colorado leaving even though Nebraska also voted the network down but it's part of what led to them departing. That eventually led to Missouri and A&M leaving. But hey it had it's run. There was never going to be a future with the league as it ended up being. Even though it made money and did well for it to last a decade from the last reallignment. OU and Texas were just going to outgrow the conference eventually. Covid and NIL and all that's going on with the NCAA essentially going away made everything go faster than most thought.

There is no guarentee that any of the remaining Big 12 teams will be able to join a major conference. We don't know if any of the major conferences will expand. I'm sure the AAC, Mountain West, and Sun Belt type conferences would gladly take the remaining Big 12. But I don't see them reforming a Big 12 and being able to keep anything solid going. Just not enough revenue produced by the remaining members. And outside of BYU who barely moves the needle none of the remaining teams do anything for a conference. The only 3 schools I could see in a major conference are OSU, Iowa State, and Kansas. Not sure about the rest.
