You're my hero fatty.

I saw Billy Walker play last week, sucks that he left early. But then again maybe he can say he got a ring in his rookie year.

If a team took Oden took before Durant then why wouldn't a team take Griffen first?

Because Griffin isn't 7'1 with the same type of athleticism.

I'm not saying Griffin would be taken ahead of Durant or Oden if he were in the same draft as them, but it's LAUGHABLE to suggest Oden has the same type of athleticism as Blake...

Gotta go with Durant at this moment, and its not even close, IMO. Maybe Blake will step up to that level in the future, but for right now Durant is doing his thing against the best in the world. We have to at least let Blake get into the league 1st.

Maybe you didn't see Oden in HS or in his freshman year but he was a monster of an athlete. He could run and jump with the best of them.

Watching this video just makes me sick now to see Oden so limited athletically.

Comparing them as they all 3 come out of college I would take Blake.

Good post. It's the second year to watch after the surgery he had.

Durant with some hestitation. Blake has so much upside. Considering how much he has improved from this time last year, the skys the limit.

The big thing is that Durant is the most unique talent. 6'10 small forwards who can shoot lights out don't come along very often. Beasley and Griffin are terrific players but not once in a generation type players.

Durant at 20 years old is averaging 26 points and 6.6 rebounds a game on 48% from the field, 44% from 3, and 85% from the FT. That is the best EVER! Better than Lebron or Kobe at the same stage. It's ridiculous.

Bill Simmons wrote a great article about how Durant is the only truly underrated player in the league.

I agree Garce. Durant is amazing, but he was amazing from the moment he stepped on campus. Blake is blowing up before our eyes. Let's give him a year or two and see where he stands. The Thunder would be the luckiest team around, if they somehow got both of them.

I would agree with you if Durant weren't only 6 months older than Griffin! I agree that Griffin's improvement and in some ways the way people have underrated him has been incredible. I think Griffin has a chance to be an All Star.

Durant, on the other hand, has the chance to be the best player of his generation. The kid is 20 years old, imagine what he will be like at 25. Crazy.

Basically to compare Lebron and Durant you have to compare Lebron's rookie year to Durant's second year because that's how their age corresponds. And take into account that Durant is playing in a much tougher conference as well.
