I've been impressed with Bijan so far this season. Someone mentioned earlier this year that he was slowed by nagging injuries. I think He has run the offense well and made some winning plays/passes. I don't remember him shooting much from outside yet, maybe I just have missed it. I wonder what his outside shot is like.

Shot over 50% from three in high school. Expect it to be pretty good.

He has passed up a few 3 opportunities which I was hoping to see him shoot. I knew he shot it well in high school.

Most of the 3s he took in high school were when people packed the lane on him because he was so good in the lane. Capable 3pt shooter, but a little reluctant.

LOL. Yes, I like Cortes and hope he is a 4 yr player at OU. But he is not ready to replace Goldwireís D and experience yet, and wonít be this year.

But I can understand why someone might start a premature thread like this. I liked Goldwireís game much better today than his last outing.

As someone mentioned a few days ago, Harkless is the guy who may/should lose some minutes. Yes, I understand his defensive value, but I want to cover my eyes every time he has the ball in his hands, especially in late game or late shot clock situations.

Like the last shot against UCF. Whew, glad he didn't take it.

Harkless is the soul of this team. I know folks donít like things like that but I donít think he loses minutes because he canít put up 20 a night.

At the time this was posted, Harkless had played 4 pretty horrible games, not just from a stats perspective, but an energy and intangibles perspective. He was listless at the time. He came on in the second half of the HBU game and played great against UCF.

I agree that we go as Harkless goes.

I donít think he needs to score 20. I think he needs to be at least a threat to make a perimeter shot, and he desperately needs to stop turning the ball over and making bad decisions. Yes, he made a huge shot late. He also had two or three possessions where he dribbled the air out of the ball and we ended up without a decent look. Those arenít things that you can survive when the competition ramps up.

Iíll be honest with youÖ. Iím not saying that. Iím saying we will be an average team and why not get a freshman with potential ready for next year instead of giving the lion share of minutes to an average 5th year seniorÖ.

Cortes will get his minutes. No need to throw in the towel on this season. That's not fair to the players or the fans.

I am a fanÖ. Iím just a realist. This isnít a tournament team in my opinion. Hope that Iím wrong , but I donít see it. Letting guys like Bijan and CJ get experience can help create the backcourt for the future instead of
Running them to the portal.

Nothing will make players run to the portal faster than playing young guys over older guys when the older guys are better.

Yes, if you want to argue against bringing Goldwire in thatís one thing. If you want to say you have buyers remorse thatís one thing. But playing someone over someone better to try to get a better long term benefit is a bad idea for MANY reasons and integrity plays a part in all of them.

Since when does integrity have anything to do with college sports?

Goldwire is decent but flat out can not shoot and has some boneheaded turnovers. Cortesí court vision is way better and he looks like he will be a good shooter. Cortes doesnít need to start, but needs to play more minutes.

Is it me or is Bijan breaking some dudes ankles when he’s in there? Seems to have some handles and burst.

Goldwire is also a flat out lock down defender ....

This is not aging well. Cortes might be a good player eventually but he doesn't look ready to me. Goldwire is limited offensively but his lockdown defense is too valuable.
