There were a lot of things a good head coach could have done in the last 1:30. None of them got done by Mulkey.

There's an off chance these two games will help Baylor play close games in the Big Show, but they can kiss that one seed bye bye.

Will they even get a 2 now?

AP Article: Iowa State stuns No. 3 Baylor 76-71

''I just think it's the way our schedule fell,'' Baylor coach Kim Mulkey said. ''You just address it and talk to them. Quite frankly, I'm surprised that this young bunch hasn't experienced it more. We're 20-something and 3 and we're Big 12 champions. That's what I'm going to focus on when we get back on that practice floor.''

Why does my game still have five minutes left?

I was watching the OU-Baylor game again and noticed the issues with playing Vivi. Let me say first that she does make plays at times that are helpful and give hope for the future. But there is a major drop-off when KK leaves the floor.

Vivi needs work on a couple of things.

1. She has a tendency to get a rebound and turn it over trying to make a pass to get it to a teammate. That is very problematic. We are not all that good at rebounding anyway - so cannot afford to waste them.

2. Her free throw shooting is a mess. 37% on the season last I saw. You gotta be kidding. Hopefully she will commit to making at least 200 per day all off season. No way to improve except to work your heart out on it. Anyone can hit 50%. there is just no excuse for that kind of shooting.

Sherri got after the girls in the huddle pretty good a couple of times, but I guess it had little impact.

Once, as they walked to the bench, she walked through them and her tongue was stuck in her cheek and she was about as pissed off as I have seen her this year. She grabbed a clip board, paused to compose herself a bit, and turned around to tell them what to do.

It's just me, but I would rather she go back into the huddle, slam the clipboard down and kick a water bottle from the huddle to the tunnel and then point her finger and chew each one of them out individually for about 20 seconds a piece starting with "pull your head out of your a*****!" right now our you are going to be running and jumping and practicing until your guts puke out starting after this game.

It's funny, Oliver, I saw the same exact thing you did and I really thought she was going to tear them a new *******!!! I wanted her to slam the clip board down so bad. However this was bad game for what ever reason, hopefully Sharane and Whitney will be all over them today for practice and they will be ready for Bedlam. They are too good for the performance they showed last night.

I don't believe Vivi, nor Maddie, is 100% recovered from her injury, less than a year ago. I think she will be much improved next year. I was really surprised that she was able to play at all this year. I was expecting redshirt but I'm very excited about her future. I don't know that she will be a huge scorer but I think she'll be really strong on the defensive end and a good rebounder. I think she was just released to start playing right before the season so she didn't get really any conditioning beforehand. She developed some during the season but she'll be lots better next year IMO.

You're all over any mention of ............., but rarely say anything good about the Sooners. Even when you do, you're quick to throw in a backhanded positive to dilute its impact.

I am skeptical whether ViVi or Treece are the future at center and I don't think injuries are the reason. If she was still injured I don't think Sherri would have played her. I also think Sherri is bringing in two other centers for insurance.
