cuda,
True geography is less of an issue in hoops recruiting than football.

Still OU's lack of presence in Texas recruiting is a little scary.

I see your point...and I do agree OU has to up its recruiting to get back to consistent top 10 level. I just don't think a heavy Texas focus is the best way to do that.

The other 7 went to Notre Dame, UCLA, Penn, USC, New Mexico St, Arizona and Kansas.

Generally you have to cast a wide net and recruit all over the country if you want to compete and have a chance at being in the top 10.
How many players from other states go to the Texas schools?

Well, Hypocrite U must have lost the Texas touch as Skeletor will only have 4 or 5 Texans on their roster next year. Kinda surprising with all their success. I wonder if Texas high school/AAU coaches got their fill of Kim?

85% of high school basketball girls stay within 100 mile radius of where they live. Now, that isn't true for the top 10 ranked players but for the rest of them it is.

I think the next two or three years will be interesting regarding Baylor recruiting. While a lot of Texas schools have not been all that successful keeping Texas talent in-state, Baylor has had some good players from Texas. But, I get the feeling that what Kim has been recruiting is the "us against the world" type player, and stories like that of Griner may begin to erode some of that. The Dallas Cowboy players said that Johnson had worn out his welcome among the team members with his psychological games, and I wonder if Kim will not experience something similar. It will be interesting to see how effective she is and what type of player she is able to recruit going forward. Texas' primary success may be in securing some of the prospects that did tend to go to Baylor.

A lot of players leave Texas. How many come into Texas to go to school?

go warriors,
to be honest, it's the top 30 that I'm most interested in.

All evidence shows unless you have a core top 30 to 50 kids on your roster, you are not going to the Final Four.

the talent gap/dropoff after those players seems pretty wide.

Sounds like Nebraska got a verbal from 6'3 Rachel Blackburn a 4 star from Leavenworth KS. I thought OU was recruiting her at one time.

I know Lanie Page will probably go to Nebraska. She is my favorite player in 2015. She does everything. Nebraska is going to be tough the next few years.

I like Brooke too but I don't think OU is recruiting her. The problem is, we have several guards already.
