I have noticed that Boynton has dialed back the extended pressure defense this year so far. They used to pick up guys at half court and would be challenging wing passes 35 feet from the rim and that would lead to guys get beat off the dribble or getting backdoored for easy buckets or fouls. This season they have been aggressive but not extending way out like before. Of course I have only seen 2 of their games so this may not be entirely accurate.

Same thing Underwood did. Talked about how he was going to bring the same defense from SFA, he realized real quick that Big12 guards are different than what he was playing.

Scott can coach. Not that I ever thought he'd be the next Bill Self or anything, but I really thought his career was going to take a different path 10 years ago. If OSU were to promote him when Boynton bounces (I know they won't), he'd probably be the best hire they made since Eddie.

Going to the game tonight. Should be fun seeing Patrick Ewing on the sideline. My grandkids won’t have any idea who he is.

Bet they’ll know he was a basketball player, though.

Dude could flat out play back in the day.

And they aren’t very good with them.

To be fair a bench player, Harris has to start in place of Liklele who was sick. He scored 10 points.

Like I have said in earlier posts this team will struggle at times offensively. 4 guys standing around watching Lindy Waters tonight.

It looks like both of our teams will have their fair share of ups and downs this year. You mentioned in a prior post that you took your grandson to the game. In spite of the loss, I hope he enjoyed the experience.

One question. We have a separate thread talking about how poor the attendance has been at Lloyd Noble. How was it for the game you went to last night? I'm curious because you were playing a solid opponent while coming off a great in-season tournament victory.

I actually found my self telling the grandkids about the good old days when we filled the place up. How their Dad and their Uncle would camp out to get in line for big games. They couldn’t imagine that

I’d guess 6,000. Late arriving crowd. Lot of fans in the upper bowl (300s). A lot of the season ticket holders in the lower section were no shows Probably their biggest crowd of the season. Sad when you consider what it used to be.
