NORMAN – Oklahoma opens the ESPN Events Invitational against former Big 12 foe Nebraska on Thursday, Nov. 24 at 4 p.m. (CT) at State Farm Field House in Kissimmee, Fla.

The game will open the evening quarterfinal slate and will be televised on ESPN with Mark Neely and Randolph Childress on the call. Fans may also listen on the Sooner Sports Radio Network (KRXO 107.7 FM The Franchise in Oklahoma City; KTBZ 1430 AM in Tulsa; Varsity Radio App) with Toby Rowland and Kevin Henry announcing.

Takes me back, OU used to play Nebraska on Thanksgiving weekend in the sixties. I spent a couple of Thanksgiving weekends on two long bus rides to and from Lincoln. Good times!

This is not a particularly strong field. There is no reason our program shouldn’t be at a point where we expect to win this tournament. And anything less than 2-1 would be a calamity.

I watched some of the Nebr / Pinebluff game. Nebr isn’t great but honestly looked a little better against them than we did. Anxious to see how our offense looks today.
