NORMAN – Oklahoma concludes its four-game homestand to open the season with a matchup against South Alabama on Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.

The Sooners hold the 2-1 series advantage, splitting the two Norman contests. Oklahoma earned the 79-72 victory in the last meeting between the two programs during the 1981-82 season.

OU secured the wire-to-wire 74-53 victory over UNCW in its last contest and improved to 2-1 on the season.

A look at South Alabama

the Jaguars are 1-2 with a 6 point loss at UNM and a 10 point loss at home to Alabama.

this is pretty much the ultimate portal team ..

they are old and experienced ....... just not together ..

the starters

5th year Sr Isiah Moore 6'1 PG Grad transfer was a DII all American last year
17.7 and 6 on 50/0/77.8 shooting (but doesn't shoot the 3)

4th year JR Tyrell Jones 6'2 wing second year at USA (Auburn transfer former 4 star)
9.0 on 36/0/81.8 shooting

6th year Sr Greg Parham 6'4 wing (scored 18.4 in 20-21 at VMI)
10.7 and 4 board on 40.6/30.8/100 shooting

5th year Sr Owen White 6'6 wing Grad transfer from DII
6.7 and 3 boards on 33.3/30/0 shooting

5th year Sr and old TCU friend Kevin Samuel 7'0 Center (3 years at TCU last year at FGCU)
11.7 9.3 3 blocks on 63/0/25 shooting

off the bench
4th year Jr Marshall Kearing 6'9 center (juco transfer)
13 min a game 6 points 8 boards on 53/25/75 shooting

Fr Jamar Franklin 6'2 G
17 min a game 8.0 points on 56/54/0 (only 3 ppg against bama and UNM)

3rd year JR Judah Brown 6'6 (st mary transfer)
12 min a game back up at the 4 not a good player



they are an old team that basically can't shoot ...

Kevin Samuel is a very good big center on O but he can't shoot FF and he doesn't play the Pick and roll well

their PG gets down hill well but can't shoot outside ..

and they have very very limited depth ..

The UNCW game is available right now on ESPN+ so one assumes tonight's game will be available afterward too.
