How about that Brady Manek?
Great to see his break out tonight. That has to be his best shooting game outside the confines of LNC in quite some time.

Re: How about that Brady Manek?
And while I'm at it, how about that Matt Freeman? Many had written him off (far too soon, I felt), but he's been a contributor so far this season. Not a major one (until tonight), but he's had a decent play or three in most of our games. Hopefully, tonight will prove a launching pad for even better things for him going forward.

wanted to give freeman some love for stepping up when he was needed, but I didn't want to hijack the thread. glad you mentioned him, he deserves it.

He sure does -- 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting (3 from deep), 4 rebounds, 2 blocks and an assist off the bench. I'll take that every time.

Re: How about that Brady Manek?
when I saw Mooney abuse Polla by running out to the line I wondered if Freeman was fleet afoot enough to stay on him. I thought he showed pretty well for himself with good activity and awareness defensively.

Re: How about that Brady Manek?
Freeman is shooting 50pct from 3 and playing well. I don't know if it will continue though. I'm afraid teams will now not help off of him and play tight. He's pretty slow and I don't know if I have ever seen him drive or make a good low post move ever. If he can come in and play 10-14mins a night and hit 1-2 shots a game that's all we need. Manek was awesome tonight! Very excited for this team and for the future!

Re: How about that Brady Manek?
When he first came here I expected Freeman to be more athletic than he is. Knowing his game better now, I think he is maximizing his potential to this team. Hit a few spot up 3's, provide some height and maybe a few rebounds and a block or two. Good for him, I'm glad to see him having some success and helping the team. And by the way, they certainly look like a TEAM this year. Really fun to watch.

Freeman's had a few impressive passes this season, too.

Re: How about that Brady Manek?
Manek was fantastic last night.
Freeman is showing that he can be a contributor. You can tell that the game has slowed down for him. It took him a long time to get accustomed to the speed of the game over here but he's starting to figure it out.

Re: How about that Brady Manek?
Manek has been looking for open looks where he had enough space to take a good shot and he made the best of it last night.

Very true!
His defense seems awful though. He and Polla got continually worked

Re: How about that Brady Manek?
Good point! He passed up a few good looks throughout the night. Seems like a guy that gets it and knows how to play the game the right way!

Re: How about that Brady Manek?
Manek had a good game. Need to have someone else throw the ball from out of bounds. He froze at the end of the game and didn't call time out and it was a turnover. TV showed Lon signaling him to call time out.
