Yep that's a big loss because they got rid of some big guys based on how well he played last year.

Buddy had 18 points in the Kings first win of the season last night. Harrison Barnes hit the game winning shot for Sacramento. I think people expected Sacramento to at least be good this year and maybe even make the playoffs but they just aren't very good right now. They don't have Bagley to start the season but they just aren't getting enough from Buddy also. He's only making 35% from 3 to start the season.

John Collins of the Hawks suspended 25 games for PEDs. Between Blake's injury, the Kings slow start, Trae tweaking his ankle, and now this . . . lots of tough news in the first three weeks of the season. On the bright side, Trae is due to return tonight, and that injury could have been much worse.

He's the Tiger Woods of basketball as his hand control is just on a different level than others.

After period #1 Buddy cashes in with 9 pts and 1 rebound versus 4 pts, 3 assists for Trae.

Approaching the halfway mark of the 3rd period and Trae has pulled ahead with 17 pts, 8 assists and 1 rebound versus 15 pts, 3 rebounds for Buddy H (both shooting at a 50% or better clip).

To start the 4th Buddy now with 22 pts, 1 assist and 5 rebounds while Trae has 24 pts, 10 assist and 2 rebounds and both still shooting better than 50% overall.

The timing of this game, plus their performances, certainly don't hurt a bit. Both guys balling out reinforces the point that Rayford is said to be making to Bryce and his family.

Not sure if Buddy played in the 4th but he finishes with the same totals after the 3rd quarter while Trae chalked up 30 pts, 12 assists and 2 rebounds.

buddy had a bad turnover trying to dribble in the corner. i think it was in the fourth. but he got pulled and didn’t come back in because his teammates went ape from 3. fun third quarter though.

It's worth noting that Trae also had five steals.

Buddy played 26 minutes, Trae played 40. Still impressive performances by both players.

Trae didn't shoot well against Portland tonight, but he shot often: 35 points on 9-of-30 shooting, 8 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 steals, 7 turnovers.

Nice first game back for Blake!

Buddy's got his work cut out for him -- De'Aaron Fox is out for a projected three weeks with a sprained ankle.
