Default Good comparison for Alondes Williams?

Can you guys think of anyone in the modern era that is a good comparison for him? My knowledge goes back to 1995, and I really can't think of someone similar to him. Big, power guard with that kind of athletic ability.

Ere and Warren were both pretty big/athletic guards.
Might even throw in Detrick.

Warren definitely threw it down a lot but he was a much better player... maybe Detrick isn't a bad example. Detrick was great at getting to the hole, but did he throw it down all the time like Williams?

Iíll admit Iím not as good at these comparisons as those who played the game (high school, college, etc). However, to me he reminds me a little bit of a guy named Tyrone Jones, who didnít play much on OUís great team of Ď88, but was a starter in Ď89 (and also a JUCO).

JUCO guard on one of Tubbs' last team. Off the charts athletic ability and a good scorer. That's who Alondes reminds me of.

Thatís a good comparison. Thatís who I was thinking of as well. I think Hamilton was a better scorer but theyíre similar players.

hamilton was like the great unicorn when billy brought him in. his athleticism was near legendary. plus he was strong as an ox. but he never truly panned out to meet his potential.

alondes reminds me of that nate guy kelvin had.

with his ferocity, no one imo. some of his dunks have been the most vicious i have ever seen. he should have had another big dunk last night, but gave it up too quickly.

I can see a little Angelo Hamilton in his game and a there are parts of his game that remind me of Willie Warren, DeAngelo Alexander, and even David Godbold.
Coming out of JUCO I think it’s fair to say Alondes has exceeded most fans expectations in his initial season. If he keeps improving he’ll be really fun to watch the next season and a half.

Angelo Hamilton with maybe the most legendary dunk(360) ever in Cameron Indoor. Dick Vitale actually got mad.
