Does TCU have a former OU player as an assistant coach?

I can see Britney being a really good coach. I wish she was working for Jennie. Since she isn't, I wish she could get on at OSU. Don't think there will be an opening at OU for a few years. I like the present OSU coach and she has certainly had a good year. Just like to see Britney be in a position to be considered for a head coaching job, don't think TCU provided that. Abi Olajuwan had been an assistant at TCU. She was hired in Dec(?), 2022, to be an asst under Stephanie White for the Conn. Sun. Stephanie's first hire. Kind of surprised. Hope she does well.

I hope she can regroup and find another good job.

She’s been a good coach for TCU and I think she just couldn’t compete with the Big 12’s top teams when it came to recruiting to Fort Worth ((not a great place to spend 4-5 years of your life, IMHO).

I bet, should she want one, she’ll get another good and possibly great gig at an upper level Division 1 school.

OSU was able to steal its current associate head coach, Jhasmin Player, away from both LSU and Texas.

LSU and Texas really wanted Player, but she believes she and Jacie Hoyt can build something special in Stillwater. I don’t think they will have any spots open soon, but you never know.

I hope she fails at OSU. But since OU is going to the SEC it won't matter as much. But we will still go against OSU for Oklahoma recruits. If OSU develops an excellent basketball program we will have trouble getting the local players.

I am for OU over OSU in recruiting, staffing and results.

I expect that we will continue to play one or two yearly non-conference games against them after we go to the SEC.

Thanks. I had no idea. On another note, I just noticed that I did not see Dionnah Jackson on sideline of Texas game. Googled and found out she was hired as head coach for Kansas City University. I hope that is a good spot for her to begin a head coaching career.

She follows Jacie Hoyt the OSU coach so KCU helped get Jacie a good job.

I noticed Dionah Jackson's KCU did not do very well this year. The did however get to the finals of their conference tournament.

Maybe Hoyt left the cupboard bare.

Hoyt brought 2 KCU starters to Stoolwater with her one Naomi Alnatas was the leading scorer for the pukes. Those 2 players produced 38% of the scoring, 15% of the rebounds and 48% of the assist KCU had in 2020-21. That is a big transfer portal loss.

Alnatas was the only starter that left KC with Hoyt. The other player was L. Williams who played a total of 25 minutes in her one season at KC.

It looks like Britney Brown has landed at North Texas.
