Apparently, I was either drunk or off my meds in the

Truthfully, it could have been both!😜🤣🫣🤦*♂️

I think Sahara Williams can/probably will make up the scoring for at least one of those seniors. I have a feeling she's better than Madi was out of high school and could be just as good/better when her career is over at OU, knock wood. Idk what to expect out of Verhulst, but i imagine her potential is sky-high, and she's got height. I don't have any expectations of Allen to contribute, so I do agree we will most likely need to grab a couple of players with experience/basketball IQ out of the portal. I don't know what to expect out of Kelbie Washington if she even returns next season, so there are a lot of holes to fill, but if everyone improves in the off-season I believe we could be just as good! If Johnson could work on her shot and BB IQ she could be a great player for us, I just think she's a bit green and she needs to adjust to the speed of DI ball. I have no doubt Culliton will continue improving, and I have a good feeling R. Scott will as well. That's me being very optimistic!

I don't the 2023-24 Sooners having anywhere the experience nor the step up when the going gets tough requirements from the current roster. I see next year as a transition year. Hope I am totally wrong but replacing almost 50% of your offense and 30% of your rebounding to me is asking a bit much of Vann, Tot, Scott, Culliton and Johnson with Vann already making a major contribution.

I just don't think freshman Sahara is likely to be close to senior Madi especially with Madi's production in the paint. Also my gut tells me Reyna will enter the portal after only getting 10 minutes /game.

Or you could be constipated.

Hopefully you are right about Reyna but with the amount of fiber I take the constipation is not going to happen.

One thing is certain, Sahara will become a part of a veteran group of starters, unlike Maddie.

I think Sahara is more than capable of filling in for ONE of the three main senior starter, not necessarily Madi, at least immediately. All she'd have to do is average 11 ppg, which is doable from what I've seen of her. I hope Reyna accepts her limited role as a reflection of our experience and her need to improve and contribute in the future, rather than being upset and immediately transferring next season. With kids these days you never know! In order for us to not take a step down we'll have to either improve or land some key transfers. We can also just get better in our defense and turnover #s, I mean, it can't get a whole lot worse. I think depending on who we bring in/returns it's doable to be close to as good, not impossible.

I do not understand this. Isn't Maddie a part of a veteran group of starters?

Yes, she is. But when she was a freshman, we started 3 or 4 freshmen, if I remember correctly.

Tot should be the only remaining starter returning next year.

Liz Scott is a 4th year senior so she has the Covid year plus she had surgery during the Covid year and missed all but the first few games. She has another year of eligibility if she wants it.

Yeah, Liz only played something like a total of 22 games her first 2 seasons, so this is really only her second full season of play, which would explain her finally improving in ppg/rpg. I think she should definitely take the extra season as the first two would have essentially been a waste. She only played like 7 games one year so i wonder if she qualified that one as a redshirt season? It depends on what she wants but i know this team would be looking much better going into next season with her coming back, having that post depth.
