I don't get it. What about the modern basketball game makes you want a 7'1" project?

You are much better off with a skilled, undersized guy.

I recall that name. We’re we after him before?

so, it's been past the signing date for a long time and a 7'1 guy is still available? That doesn't sound promising on the surface....

what's the back-story?

I watched his video... I'd sign him. Redshirt him next year and see what happens. 7'8'' wingspan, 7'1'', good athlete.

When Kruger got here, he recruited a ton of guards (5 in his first two classes), and surrounded his three guard starting lineup with a stretch 4 and a shotblocker whose only role on offense was to screen and finish alley oops.

That strategy was insanely successful. Why have we moved away from it?

He's nowhere near the athlete Lattin is. Not going to be able to switch onto anything, is not going to be rim-running from the 3 point line after setting a screen.

Everyone hated lattin on this board.

Jumped too much, never could finish, muni was always better.

Good redshirt guy. Worth the risk.

Lattin was fine in the role he played on the final four team. When he and Kruger decided he needed a more involved role in the offense the next two years is when things got bad.

So you’re saying you didn’t want him to try and get better and help the team?
As players get older they tend to do that....

The number of big men I want playing back to the basket post up basketball in the year 2019 is less than 5, and those guys are in the NBA. There was no amount of improvement that was ever going to make that a productive offensive philosophy for OU with Lattin.

Thompson will also be in tomorrow. Wilson has people around him who have already
contacted OU since the Michigan coach took the NBA job.

gotcha...I just don't follow recruiting big time and wondered why a 7'1 kid for 2019 was still available...besides the obvious (not good enough).
