Laurent (6-6, 215, G/F, Orlando, Fla., UMass) averaged 9.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game as a redshirt junior last season at UMass, including a 46.7 percent (35-of-75) clip from 3-point - tops in the A-10. He is expected to be immediately eligible and will have one year to play for the Cowboys.

Well.... when you add a really good 3pt shooter to an already existing group of good shooters (Waters and Dziagwa) it certainly can't hurt... Shooters are becoming the most valuable commodity on a team, NBA or NCAA.

There is a difference between a good shooter and being the best shooter on a lousy team.

That said, in hindsight, Waters would look really nice in crimson and cream. I know his Dad was a train wreck in the recruiting process, but that kid is a basketball player. Can't have too many of them.

Yea these grad transfers are risky business... They have D1 experience but that doesn't mean they are Big 12 capable, and they are essentially done improving so they are what they are.

And the kid made a joke about a school shooting... with a gun.
