Default OU Recruiting: 4 star (or better) last 5 years

Can't judge this years class, which has three "4 stars" or better in it because they haven't played... Looks like OU is right in there with most of the programs outside of Texas and Kansas. Texas should be absolutely ashamed of their results, having signed the most high rated talent in the league and accomplished nothing.

West Virginia and Texas Tech have clearly done the most with the least... Prior to last year finishing in the top 3 for 4 straight seasons with the fewest amount of highly rated players (WVU) and Texas Tech nearly winning a championship.

OU - 5 total 4 stars or better
Matt Freeman, Akolda Manyang, Kameron McGusty, Trae Young, Jamal Bienemy

For comparison to other Big 12 teams...

Texas - 18 total 4 stars or better
Myles Turner, Jordan Barnett, Tevin Mack, Kerwin Roach, Eric Davis, Jarrett Allen, Andrew Jones, James Banks, Jacob Young, Mo Bamba, Matt Coleman, Jase Fabres, Jericho Sims, Royce Hamm, Courtney Ramey, Kamaka Hepa, Jax Hayes, Gerald Liddell

West Virginia - 3 total 4 stars or better
Esa Ahmad, Derek Culver, Emmitt Mathews

Texas Tech - 3 total 4 stars or better
Kevin Mccullar, Khavon Moore, Deshawn Corprew

Baylor - 5 total 4 stars or better
King McClure, Mark Vital, Tristan Clark, Matt Mayer, Jarred Butler

Kansas - 16 total 4 stars or better
Don't care to list them

Iowa State - 7 total 4 stars or better
Also don't care to list them

Are most (all) of OSU's in this year's class?

It’s hard to believe Freeman was rated a 4 star. Akolda could have played like one but the weed ended his career here and Iowa Western juco. McGusty had the talent and may produce elsewhere but he thought he was a 6 star and didn’t know basketball was played on two ends of the court.

It will be interesting to see how the Boone twins develop in Stillwater. They are both very thin. I think the taller one has more skill right now.

Iím not sure Freeman was ever rated officially. The four star assessment came from recruiting guru, Eric Bossi, after he saw Matt put up impressive numbers in an all-star game in California. Bossi said if Freeman had attended high school in the the U.S. he would have been rated a four star.

I remember reading the article. Got me so excited I started building Freeman up as a future star before he ever arrived on campus. I didnít give up on him until it was obvious he was not going to develop into the player he was touted to be. Thatís not the first mistake Iíve made on a player, and it may not be the last.

I thought big posted their depth chart the other day and they had 4-5 4* guys listed on the bench. That not correct?

I guess different recruiting sites rate the players differently. The links I provided above are the "Composite Recruiting Ratings" as tabulated by 247Sports.
