Can I vent?

Why was nothing pushed out about this on Social Media. Should be celebrating this singing. Maybe I missed it. Kid and other media pushed it out...

Maybe didnt send in yet. (happens, very normal)

Announce all at once?

Ha.

I wanted to say that but thought, nah, man, no one cares about my opinion(s).

OU WBB had two girls sign. Both were pushed out on Twitter (I assume IG, haven't looked). Johnny Smiley did a damn good job with the video/graphics.

I saw a MBB tweet go out early in the morning but it was deleted. Nothing the rest of the day.

Maybe they got news on Kaden and decided to announce both on Saturday?

Hmm.

If it turns out they are holding off because they know something about Kaden, that does change things a bit. If not, I agree it is very odd there was no mention of it. Most teams make a big deal of these signings on their websites and social media. They give each kid their own tweet, etc. Meanwhile. what I just saw on OU's basketball facebook is a post promoting Moser and a giveaway with a shirt featuring him.

Regardless of who else we might sign, they should’ve put something out on Cole. I mean, c’mon.

I'll throw in a +1. Why miss a chance to put out good news on social media? I don't see the wisdom in waiting to do multiple announcements at once, either. Keep a steady stream of good pub coming out and take the opportunity to celebrate each player individually. That being said, I've recruited 0 athletes, so what do I know?

Boulder Sooner is right in the past they have waited until everyone signs and then do one release. That gives me hope that we might be signing another guy. If not, then yes I agree it's totally ridiculous to not do a press release for Cole, and would be a change from the past. But they always do, so why wouldn't they? Be patient I guess?

Man, I sure hope we sign more than one HS guy a year. I'd like to kind of get to know these guys a little bit?

Makes you wonder if Godwin will get a ship, is Sherfield coming back...Hill?

It is infuriating how bad the Oklahoma administration is for OU basketball. I promise LK was very frustrated with the lack of support throughout his tenure. Yes I'm taking a shot at the golden boy JoeC!

Ou hoops is where it is because the fans and donors do not support it at the level required to be elite. Has little to do with the AD.

I fully trust you on this, but would be interested in hearing some specifics with respect to where the administration falls short. It’s very frustrating, especially since they clearly support so many other sports on campus.

I know as an out of state fan it's frustrating how little coverage of ou basketball there is. I get we're not a blue blood, but we're not nobody state, either. That's honestly why I've started posting more here. I rarely feel like I have much to offer that hasn't already been said, but I've relied on this community of fans for info for years as a lurker, and felt the need to try to contribute something as a thank you to Coach, Wichita, Ada, Vbdad, and the many others that have been my beat writers for years. Ok, rant over.

As for the athletic department efforts, it feels like a chicken and egg situation. Fan interst is low, so why bother putting out publicity. But, if you measure interest through clicks and likes, as many do these days, fans can't click or like content that doesn't exist.
