Hopefully Newell he is much more talented. Blair does have a year experience but on an terrible team AND he didn't pit up great numbers

I hope Newell is the of with Taylor backing up for the two and the one if he does not start

I heard a rumor today that Newell is heading to Oklahoma today (ok it was a facebook status but I was trying not to sound like a stalker, oh well)

Also I believe Blair will be the starter.

I think Blair starts. He has a year under his belt. I have no idea what to make of Newell. I expect Blair to be solid. I expect something like a freshmen version of Bobby Maze or JR Raymond out of Newell. Flashes of ability but little consistency and much immaturity.

I'm hoping Blair will be a kid we may be able to count on to start at the point for the next 3 years.

Newell finishes the year as the starter due to probably being a better scorer. I see Newell playing some sg as well.

None of us have seen much of either player. So, I think lacking much else to go on you have to assume a year of D1 experience will give Blair the edge. I hope we have a PG battle though. I think that could be good for both players.

Side note: How sure is everyone that TJ Taylor isn't in the mix for PG?

That's a good point. I'm sure TJ will be a situational PG. For example Newell gets into foul trouble, and Blair needs a rest, TJ can play some point I bet. It'll be good to have depth that we really didn't have last year.

We had 2 PGs last year with Warren and that dumb guy with initials I've already chosen to forget about. And there were times that neither one looked like they really cared about being there. Hopefully this year we'll have guys that want to play the college game and appreciate the change they get. That's something Blake had his 2 years. Last year didn't have a ton of that.

please people dont get too hyped on blair.. i remember thinking we could count on chris walker... i am excited to get both and i always believe in them too much year after year.. hopefully we are in for a surprise season

With all do respect to Walker, he's a good guy but he didn't play div 1 basketball before coming here. Blair not only played div 1 ball but played fairly well looking at the numbers.

Blair will start. He's guaranteed to. Especially with his experience and the fact that no one else is on campus. I think he'll be a good surprise this year.

I guess it's harder to remember the transfer PGs that have had success like Quannas, Jaison, Terrell, I'm sure I can list a bunch more.
