U19 and USA trials

https://www.usab.com/news-events/new...ls-roster.aspx

It is interesting that so many Baylor players were selected for the team, with so few Texas team members. I think Ashton is one of the coaches. Iowa State and OU have one each: Taylor Robertson for OU.

It may be the same thing as they did with Aaryn. She became the outside gunner for a team that only needed one gunner. Had a lot of inside talent. Robertson is a better gunner than Aaryn.

Might notice that Courtney is on the USA senior team.

Re: U19 and USA trials

Robertson will have an uphill battle to make the team

Shakira Austin
Francesca Belib
Aliyah Boston
Paige Bueckers
Caitlin Clark
Rhyne Howard
Elizabeth Dixon
Haley Jones
Nalyssa Smith
Hailey Van Lith

All have a great chance of making the team, the players listed have either been named to a team before, or had impact freshmen seasons in college...
only Clark could prove to be as good for a shooter as Taylor, so thatís one thing she has on her side... it will be interesting to see if she has a chance and will make it over players like Blackwell or Brink.

Which Courtney? Paris? I think you might have read the part that acknowledged past U19 participants.

You're right. I was reading the old-timers part.

I think they knew why they invited her since she isn't the type of guard that the others are. I think they were looking for a gunner specialist. If she makes the team, I think it will be on those terms.

Re: U19 and USA trials

Taylor Robertson did not make the team. Two Baylor players, NaLyssa Smith and Queen Egbo did make the 12 player USA U19 3X3 National Team. Also making the team was Hailey Von Lith, there are more reports indicating she may go to Baylor.

Others making the team :

Belibi
Boston, South Carolina
Brink, Stanford
Bueckers, UConn
Clark
Hillmon-Baker, Michigan
Howard, Kentucky
Nixon, Notre Dame
Taylor, Texas

Belibi, Clark and Von Lith are in High School and have not selected their college.

Re: U19 and USA trials

Belibi is headed to Stanford, Iím surprised Jones didnít make the team. Robertson stood next to Clark during a team photo, maybe they built a friendship and she can recruit Clark to Ou... Oklahoma is a bible state, Clark is a Catholic tho I believe and will probably end up at Notre Dame because of that...
