Norman — Oklahoma concluded the exhibition portion of their schedule with a 94-66 win over Central Oklahoma, coached by former Sooner Terry Evans, Wednesday night at McCasland Fieldhouse in Norman.

And, once again, it was the freshmen who stole the show Buddy Hield and Je’lon Hornbeak were the Sooners’ top two scorers.

Hield, who led OU in scoring with 16 off the bench in the first exhibition win over Washburn, came off the bench and did it again with 19 points in 22 minutes. Hornbeak, who started his second straight game, added 15.

In all, the Sooners’ freshman trio of Hield, Hornbeak and Isaiah Cousins combined for over 40 percent of the teams’ points.

Amath M’Baye and Tyler Neal were the only other players in double figures for OU with 11 and 10 points respectively. Neal added a team-high nine rebounds, while M’Baye added four blocked shots.

Oklahoma will officially tip-off the season on Sunday at 2 p.m. against Louisiana-Monroe at the Lloyd Noble Center.
