Lon Kruger’s OU basketball promotion tour is still full-speed head eight games into the season.

Kruger has the Sooners off their second-best start in the last eight seasons at 7-1, and on he Wednesday he hosted a chat on ESPN.com.

And, as usual, Kruger said all the right things in a great chat that covered everything from his team, to his favorite memories of Norman as a player at Kansas State, his favorite Vegas show and much, much more.

But it was this quote from today’s chat that personfies Kruger’s approach and why this team is off to a great start.

Question: Coach, I think we’re all very excited about what we’re seeing out of the team. What was the biggest change that you thought needed to be made with this group?

Kruger: Not necessarily a change, but they have to trust each other, have confidence in each other. We always talk about doing things for others on the court. We’re concerned more about WE than I.

It doesn’t get any better than that.
